To celebrate fifty years of Chevrolet Corvettes, the Danbury Mint offered a series of resin 1:43 Corvettes. One from each year of production, in factory correct colors. Presumably it was a monthly subscription and a display was included in the deal. Corvettes in 1:43 were restricted to only a few key years, so this was an excellent opportunity to obtain a more diverse collection of them.
The shapes and trim were accurately rendered although the overall appearance generally was not up to the standards of competitors like Minichamps. Chrome trim was hand painted in silver and it appears that decals were used instead of tampo. Still, it was the only way to get models of some years of the Corvette.
