Funline Merchandise Company Inc was founded in 1993 by Chris Leong, a model car designer, and his brother Ken.

They first created the Stampeders line, and later, Muscle Machines. The Original Muscle Machines range was a series of 'toonish diecast models mostly of 1950s and 1960s hot rod classic cars and trucks. There were first launched in 1999-2000.

Another line of castings they made was called "Import Tuner". These were more realistic Japanese and German car models.

Another series was based on the Jesse James custom builds. They also made and imported diecast in 1:18 and 1:64 scales as Radrods, Extreme Machines, and NHRA drag racing cars. They would continue making diecasts until they were bought in 2003 by Action Performance. In 2003-2004, Action Performance merged with Motorsports Authentics.
