Operating at one time across the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe under the GameStop, EB Games, EB Games Australia, Micromania-Zing, ThinkGeek and Zing Pop Culture brands. Starting in 2024 GameStop began to significantly reduce its footprint both domestically and internationally. In 2025 GameStop sold its Canadian and Italian operations to EB Games, and Cidiverte S.p.A (Gamelife) respectively. Amidst ongoing closures GameStop continues to operate outside of the United States in parts of Europe and Australia.
