Hard Rock Cafe Aspen was located in the historic Elks Lodge Building at 210 South Galena Street, just blocks from the mountain town's ski lift. During its nearly ten years in business, the Aspen cafe had two claims to fame:

1. It was the world's highest-elevation Hard Rock Cafe, at 7,982 feet above sea level.
2. It was also the physically smallest Hard Rock location, with 12 to 14 tables and a maximum seating capacity of 55 people.
