Heinrich Lanz AG was a German agricultural machinery manufacturing company founded in 1859 and based in Mannheim, most famous for their Lanz Bulldog tractors.
In 1956 the company merged with Deere & Company (John Deere). From then on their tractors were sold under the John Deere - Lanz brand name. In 1967 "Lanz" was removed from all products and the company name, and since then all their products are sold under the John Deere brand.
