Herzgut is the last independent dairy cooperative in Thuringia/Germany. With more than 100 years of experience it is one of the most traditional diary companies in Germany. 70,000,000 kg of milk are processed to high quality dairy products for food retailing every year. These include traditional Herzgut products like fresh milk, cream products, yogurt, cheese, and butter, but also a premium product range of Jovia, Omeghurt, and a special butter range called Butterquintett. 200,000 liters of raw milk are provided by local dairy farmers every day. Due to a patented feeding formula 30% of the raw milk contain a higher percentage of unsaturated fat which are processed to the Herzgut premium products. Short transportation routes between the local dairy farmers and Herzgut allow immediate processing of the raw milk and results in fresh products and a low environmental impact. 101 employees, two trainees, and lots more cows guarantee that consumers can enjoy fresh and healthy dairy products.
