Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the main protagonist of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. He is the son of chief Stoick the Vast and Valka who was originally thought to be incapable of killing a dragon and proving himself a Viking man. Hiccup is the first to tame and ride a dragon, eventually teaching the whole tribe how to respect dragons as companions instead of killing them. His dragon and best friend, Toothless, is a Night Fury, the rarest and most intelligent of the dragon species.

He is portrayed by voice actors Jay Baruchel in the telvision series and movie releases, and by James Arnold Taylor in the video games.
