It is a name that commonly refers to models made in a Hong Kong factory from 1971, aiming to reduce production costs. However this did not last long due to quality issues.

The Honda NIII 360 (10-1),  Toyota Sprinter 1200SL (11-1), Mazda Capella Rotary Coupe (12-1), Mistubishi Galant GTO (30-1) , Nissan Cedric 2000SGX (33-1) and Datsun 1200 Truck (42-1) were made. These Hong Kong models are prized among collectors as production did not last long.

However the Toyota Sprinter and Datsun 1200 Trucks were produced in Japan after the molds had been refurbished. The other molds are considered lost.
