Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California. The group was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger and drummer José Pasillas while enrolled at Calabasas High School. The band then expanded to include bassist Alex "Dirk Lance" Katunich and Gavin "DJ Lyfe" Koppell. Chris Kilmore replaced Koppell in 1998, and Ben Kenney replaced Katunich in 2003.

Incubus has achieved commercial success, with multi-platinum album sales and several charting singles. The band earned mainstream recognition with their third studio album, "Make Yourself" (1999), which spawned several hits, including their highest-charting song, "Drive." Their sixth studio album, "Light Grenades" (2006), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
