International Deluxe cars were a group of 1:24 scale plastic vehicles offered in stores with the hope that dealers would also order them as giveaways for customers. Some were available as kits.
Introduced in 1960, they had friction motors and a detailed (though body color) interior and chassis. It was a largely unsuccessful effort although they did continue with Ford and Metropolitan promotionals in 1961 and 1962. Metropolitans have the highest value, with a moderate premium for single-color versions.
