John Hall began Brooklin Models Ltd. in 1974 in Brooklin, Canada, outside Toronto, and, in 1979, moved the business to Bath, England. Hall sold Brooklin Models Ltd. in 1998 to a group of employees in order to retire with his wife in Australia.
Hall was inducted into the 1:43 Diecast Scale Model Hall of Fame in 2009.
