Jörg Obermoser

Jörg Obermoser was the founder of the Toj racing team, who did reasonably for a while in Formula 3. He was also the German distributor for the GRD/Modus racing cars, as well as being a constructor. Made his fortune by supplying electrical industrial equipment. Also raced in sportscars, but now visits historic events and also likes to produce scale models of his cars. Diabetes has restricted his racing involvement in recent years though. As a driver, Jörg is best remembered as a touring car driver, coming second in the DRM series in 1974, but he was also a long-time competitor in the Interserie series, and came second in that series in 1977. Obermoser stopped racing a few years later so he could concentrate on both business and team interests.
