Justin began racing since he was five years old and already won the Rookie of the Year award from MX Sports Pro Racing 250 in 1998. He trained at Milsaps Training Facility to improve his bike riding skills in Georgia. Justin began his professional racing career in 2010 and came in 5th place in AMA 250SX East Championship and won the Bercy Supercross in France.
Justin won back-to-back AMA 250 SX East Championship in 2011 and 2012 and earned Bam bam’s nickname for his aggressive riding style. In 2013, he moved to 450 Class and came in 3rd place in AMA 450 SX Championship; however, injuries got better.
In 2015, Justin represented the USA at the Motocross of Nations and came in third place. However, his form from 2015 onwards degraded due to severe injuries and never really got his form back and came in 17th and 10th place in 450 SX Championship in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
In 2019, Justin made a comeback in Motocross after recovering from a 2018 injury but was not fully fit. Later, consulting with doctors and his team, he chose to sit out of the remaining races and concentrate on recovering in time for the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship in May 2019.
