Karl Maybach was the eldest son of the automobile designer Wilhelm Maybach . He earned a degree in mechanical engineering and worked from 1904 to 1906 in CAN place in the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft . With the acquired knowledge there as a research engineer, he moved to Paris in a design office.
