Lars-Erik Nielsen (born January 1, 1951 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish entrepreneur and former racing driver. He is the father of Christina Nielsen.
Lars-Erik Nielsen founded the Maldivian Air Taxi airline in 1992. The company served the islands around the Maldives with up to 40 de Havilland Canada DHC-6 seaplanes from Malé International Airport. In 2013 he sold the company to Trans Maldivian Airways for a price of 1 billion Danish kroner. Since 2015, he has been a co-owner of Nordic Seaplanes, the first Danish airline to fly the Aarhus - Copenhagen route with seaplanes.
