LEGO Castle

One of the original three LEGO environments, Castle, representing the past, featured medieval characters and structures. It ran from 1978 to 2014 with a single promotional minifigure released in 2016. Lion Knights’ Castle, a 4,514 piece set to commemorate LEGO's 90th anniversary, was released in 2022.

The Castle series consisted of 282 sets with a variety of subthemes over time including: "Classic" Castle (1978); Black Falcons (1984); Crusaders (1984); Forestmen (1987); Black Knights (1988); Wolfpack Renegades (1992); Dragon Masters (1993); Royal Knights (1995); Dark Forest (1996); Fright Knights (1997); Knights’ Kingdom (2000); Knights' Kingdom 'II' (2004); Castle 'II' (2007); Kingdoms (2010); Castle 'III' (2013); and Lion Knights' Castle (2022).
