Lucky Strike is an American brand of cigarette owned by the British American Tobacco groups. Often referred to as "Luckies", Lucky Strike was the top selling cigarette in the United States during the 1930s. 

Lucky Strike was introduced in 1917 and first appeared with U.S. servicemen on the shores of the U.K. around 1942/3. The packaging has scarcely changed in all that time. In 1917 the American Tobacco Company founded by James Buchanan Duke, launched Lucky Strike. The Lucky Strike bulls eye motif originated from Lucky Strike tobacco a brand established in 1871. The pack is basically as original except the grey background has been replaced with white.
