Maria Renard (マリア･ラーネッド Maria Rāneddo?) is a character and main protagonist of the Netflix original animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne. A young revolutionary and witch with the power to summon familiars, Maria is the daughter of the former Speaker Tera. During the French Revolution, she joins her adoptive brother Richter Belmont and the sorceress Annette on a mission to stop the "Vampire Messiah", Countess Erzsebet Báthory.
