Something Missing?

MICA stands for the Matchbox International Collectors' Association and was founded in 1985.  It published a magazine up to April 2007 and then changed to become a website with resources available for its members. Since July 2007, it has been called "The Matchbox Club" and beside operating its website has published one printed magazine per year called "Matchbox Club Annual".

In 2013 ownership of the club passed from founder Kevin McGimpsey to Graham Atherton. As a result, 2013 was the last year for a Matchbox Club Annual to be published, and the organization has mostly been reduced to a company producing and selling Code 2 models based on leftover stock of obsolete Models of Yesteryear, as well as replicas of vintage Matchbox displays.
