On July 14, 2020, Boom! Studios announced the book would end in September and be relaunched the following month at Issue #1, with the series simply titled as Mighty Morphin. Though the comic had technically ended at the time, both Mighty Morphin and the concurrent series Power Rangers had variant covers that continued the legacy numbering from Issue #56 onwards.
