Mir was the name of a big toy factory in the Belarusian capital of Minsk. Besides dolls and plush toys, the company also manufactured several model cars in the 1970s and 1980s, namely copies of Italian Mebetoys cars in 1/43rd scale as well as big plastic vehicles, including a model of the Belarusian-made BelAZ 540A dump truck in about 1/50th scale and a battery-operated Lunokhod lunar rover.
