Something Missing?

Mirov Was a sports car built by specialist props designer Jon Bunker as a fictional car from the Soviet Union for a TV advert by Norwich Union in late 80’s
Two examples were built based upon highly modified UVA M6 GTR fibreglass bodywork and chassis one at least powered by 1600cc VW engine for promotional purposes.
In 1994 Brian Thompson bought one of these mock-ups and spent nine years to convert it to a driveable road car, powered by a mid-mounted Renault 2664cc V6 engine with a 4-speed manual transmission.
As the original bodywork was purely created as a mock-up, considerable modifications were required to create new structurally sound bodywork, which now incorporates gullwing style doors with front and rear flip-clamshell style canopies.
