The Misfit Elephant, also known as the Spotted Elephant or Polka-Dotted Elephant, is a supporting character appearing in the 1964 stop-motion animated film, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. In the television film, the Misfit Elephant is presented as a large, plush, stuffed toy elephant whose owner neglected him due to the several red spots on his body. He ended up at the Island of Misfit Toys and resided there for some time, and was also shown to be a loyal friend of King Moonracer. Eventually, on one Christmas Eve, the Misfit Elephants and his friends were able to leave the Island of Misfit Toys with Santa Claus and Rudolph, fortunate enough to find a new owner on the "most wonderful day of the year."

In the original film, the Misfit Elephant was voiced by Carl Banas, who also voiced several other characters in the movie. His role as the Misfit Elephant is currently one of his most well-recognized and well-known.
