OM was a vehicle manufacturing company, founded in 1899. Its full name was "Societa Anonima Officine Meccaniche".
In 1933, the car production facilities were absorbed into the Fiat group. OM then continued as a brand of trucks until the mid-1970s, at which time the introduction of the Iveco brand for all trucks made by the Fiat group including Magirus-Deutz resulted in the discontinuation of the OM truck brand.
