The former Dutch police district Gooi en Vechtstreek covered 9 municipalities with approx. 242.000 inhabitants. This district covered the southeast of the province Noord-Holland. The headquarters was located in Hilversum. It was created in 1993 and on January 1, 2013 it was merged with the regional police forces "Utrecht" and "Flevoland" to build the new regional unit "Midden-Nederland", one of the 10 new regional units.
