Professor Dr. Metz

James Bond | Character

Something Missing?

Professor Dr. Metz is a character who appears in the 1971 James Bond Film Diamonds Are Forever. Metz works for Ernst Stavro Blofeld, for whom he has designed a laser-firing satellite. He is not evil, however, as he believes that when Blofeld uses it to hold the world to ransom, his demands will be for world nuclear disarmament. Metz is presumably killed in the climactic explosions aboard Blofeld's oil rig HQ. Mentz is played by the Austrian actor Joseph Furst.
