Dr. Felix Despecher, a former major of the town of Ralston, NE, founded the brand with the similar name, Ralstoy, in 1939. It used molds and dies from Best Toy Co. of Manhattan, Kansas as well as Kansas Toy Co. of Clifton, Kansas. In WWII the company changed to making wooden toys, when Paul Massey was in charge, and then after the war diecast models. In the 60-70s the company specialized in promotional models for moving companies and others. At around this time the company changed its name to Ralston Toy & Novelty Co. See 2nd photo.
