Red Hulk (Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' E. Ross)

Marvel | Character

Something Missing?

The Red Hulk is a villian in the Marvel Comics universe. Originally, he was General Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross. After many years of hunting down Dr. Bruce Banner in order to use the Hulk for military purposes, General Ross gained the ability to absorb energy (especially gamma energy, which gives the Hulk his powers) in order to give himself incredible strength. This ability has made him one of Dr. Banner's most dangerous adversaries. Even though he most often fills the role of antagonist, General Ross has also been a hero. He led a group of reformed villains in a task force designated "The Thunderbolts" and has been a part of many protagonist groups, including the Avengers.

He was voiced by Fred Tatasciore in the cartoon show The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and has been portrayed by Sam Elliot, William Hurt and Harrison Ford in Marvel movies.
