Replicars was was a model distributor started in the 1970’s. The founder was an English textile trader living in Amsterdam who was also a collector. In the early 1970’s Leslie Hurle Bath produced together with Barry Lester the BKL kits and models. Next to that, he built up an interesting company importing, next to mainstream brands, all kinds of exotic hand built models.
During the 1980’s he decided to have their own range produced under the Replicars brand name. First in white metal, later in resin. In 2006 Mark Asbreuk joined Replicars under it’s third owner, where he was asked to develop NEO Scale Models!

The Replicars brand were 1:43 scale. Made in England (and other countries), some were copies of Spot-On in 1:42 scale and Dinky, and some Italian Alfas.
