Richard Diamond, Private Detective is an American detective drama, created by Blake Edwards, which aired on radio from 1949 to 1953, and on television from 1957 to 1960. Shortly before his death, actor/comedian Alan King wrote a pair of short stories about the character set in 1948. They were published posthumously in 2016.
