n the year 1943 Konrad Rinnen founded the company Rinnen in Duisburg-Homberg. Shortly after his son Hermann Rinnen joined the company. First business bonds to the chemical industry were created in the sixties, when Rinnen expanded its equipment with road barrels.

Due to the high growth, Rinnen moved to a larger premises in Moers in 1974. In the same year the first two European subsidiaries in Spain and France characterise the international expansion of the company.

The purchase of the first tank containers in the seventies paved the way for intermodal transport - an important step for the company's development. The eighties and nineties are marked by strong expansion: locations in Italy, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Poland, Hungary, Belgium and Leuna are opened and expand the European logistics network of the company.

Rinnen developed into a company which provides sophisticated logistics services and various service functions in Europe, primarily for the chemical industry.
