Ron Rudat is the designer and illustrator responsible for the rebirth of the G.I. Joe franchise. He began working for Hasbro in 1971, and in the 1980's he led the relaunch of G.I. Joe action figures (codnamed "Operation Blast Off"). In addition to desining all the G.I. Joe action figures from '82 to '86, he was the creator of the symbol for the villainous orginization Cobra.  He was inducted to the Diecast Hall of Fame in 2015.
