Roskopf Model (RMM)

German company founded in 1955 by Marcel Roskopf and based in Traunstein, Bavaria. Roskopf originally manufactured plastic models of horse-drawn carriages, but soon specialized into 1:100 scale plastic military vehicles (1960s/1970s). A range of contemporary civilian vehicles in 1:87 scale (H0), mostly Swiss, German, and French trucks and buses (Saurer, Mercedes-Benz, Büssing, Berliet, and Renault), was introduced in 1982 and was soon followed by a series of models made after trucks and cars from the 1920s. In 1991 the company was sold to the Sieper Group which also owned the Wiking and Siku model car brands. After the take-over, the Roskopf models were listed in the Wiking catalogue, but production gradually ceased in the 1990s.
