Satsuki Miyanoshita is a fictional character and the protagonist of Ghost Stories (2000-2001), an animated horror-comedy series. She is a young fifth-grade student attending Amanogawa Elementary School with her brother and classmates, who initially moved away from their home in another part of the country. The town they move to happens to be the same town her deceased mother is from, and this aspect eventually leads Satsuki to learn more about her new home, the old school, and the spirits and ghosts plaguing the city. Using her mother's journal, Satsuki and her new group of friends are able to put the spirits to rest.
