The Snapfast Slammers is a series of very simple plastic model kits initially made by AMT/Ertl in the 1990s.
They were intended for the "Slammer" contests which were very popular at the time. One would build the model on the spot at a model car convention (it only takes a few minutes), then put it on the ground next to a step ladder. One would then climb the ladder carrying a 5lbs hammer and drop the hammer onto the model. A team of 'judges' would then measure the distance from the model's original location to the bit that landed furthest away. The contest winner is the one who achieved the furthest distance.
Some of the models have been reissued by Round2, but their initial purpose may have expired.
