Something Missing?

In 1999, Hasbro partnered with British company Innovision Research & Technology to incorporate RFID technology into the Star Wars Power of the Force 2 and Episode I lines and named it CommTech (CommTalk in some countries). Special chips were included in marked packages that, when placed on a reader, would play dialog and sounds from the movies. Plans were made to continue and expand on the technology, but Hasbro decided to scrap the program completely with the introduction of the Power of the Jedi line.
