Star Wars: The Card Game

Star Wars: The Card Game is a Living Card Game (LCG) produced by Fantasy Flight Games published from 2012 to 2018. It is a two-player card game set in the Star Wars universe. It puts one player in command of the light side of the Force (with the affiliations Jedi, Rebel Alliance, and Smugglers And Spies making up the light side), and one player in command of the dark side of the Force (made up of Sith, Imperial Navy, and Scum And Villainy affiliations). The Core Set of the game was released in December 2012 followed by several expansions. For this game their are 2 types of expansion packs: Deluxe and Force Packs. The first type of expansions (Force Packs) are broken down into what are known as Cycles with 6 Force Packs per Cycle. Each Cycle would focus on a particular theme or setting from within the Star Wars universe. During each Cycle, a new 60 card Force Pack would be released approximately every month. Between each Cycle they would release the Deluxe Expansions which added a much larger volume of cards to the game and primarily focus on 2 different factions, 1 light side and 1 dark side. There were a total of 5 different Deluxe Expansions and 36 different Force Packs released over the course of 6 years. The game also supported Organized Play with seasonal tournaments, local store championships, as well as Regional, National, North American and World Championships.
