Steve Koehler

Steve Koehler is a monster truck driver out of Columbus, Michigan known as the driver of Wrecking Crew. Steve is the brother of Jim Koehler, founder and driver of Avenger, and the uncle of Chris Koehler. Steve crewed for his brother for many years until 2008 when he began driving Wrecking Crew full time competing across the U.S. and Canada. Steve, alongside his brother Jim, both competed in the Fox Sports 1 Championship series in 2015. 2015 would be his last full year of competiton and his last year with his brother Jim and Team Scream. In 2016 he would become a fill in and backup driver for Monster Jam. He would drive trucks such as New Earth Authority (N.E.A Police) in Rochester, Alien Invasion at the first Detroit show, and Zombie Hunter in New Orleans. The next year, he would fill-in for Shane Phreed in Evansville Indiana driving War wizard in April and fill-in for an ill Mark Schroeder in Glendale on October 2017. In late 2018, he drove Avenger as a fill in for his brother, this is the last known time he drove a truck. He has since left monster truck driving to focus on his personal life.
