Super de Boer was a large Dutch supermarket chain. It was created in 1997 after the merger of De Boer Supermarkten and Unigro. In 1998, a further merger took place between De Boer/Unigro and the Vendex Food Groep (mother company of supermarkets Edah, Konmar and Basismarkt). The new holding company was called Laurus. In 2006, Edah and Konmar were sold and Super de Boer remained as the only supermarket of Laurus. In 2009, the Super de Boer chain was bought by the much smaller Jumbo company. In june 2012, the last Super de Boer was closed down.
