The Banana Splits

Hanna-Barbera | Musical Group

Something Missing?

The Banana Splits were a fictional rock band composed of four anthropomorphic animal characters. They were the costumed hosts of a variety show, The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, which was on NBC for 38 episodes over two seasons from 1968 to 1970. The individual characters were Fleegle (a beagle on guitar and vocals), Bingo (a gorilla on drums and vocals), Drooper (a lion on bass and vocals), and Snorky (an elephant on keyboards and various effects).

It is worth noting that, although this is a Hanna-Barbera production, the characters & the sets were designed by Sid & Marty Krofft.
