The Beast

The Beast is one of the title characters in the Disney film Beauty and the Beast. When he was a prince, The Beast showed cruelty to a passing traveler who just so happened to be a witch. That witch put a curse on him, making what was in his heart show on the outside, thus transforming him into The Beast. The only was to break the curse would be to find true love before the last petal of an enchanted rose fell. This task would be accomplished after he took Belle, the other title character, prisoner in exchange for the release of her father.
