Tomica F-Series

Series

Something Missing?

Since Japanese cars were not yet good sellers overseas, Tomy started producing 'foreign' models of cars produced outside Japan in 1976. Present were German, French, Italian, British and American cars,  making the Tomica product line more global.

Each F-Series car was packaged in a picture box that showed the flag of the country of origin of that particular car. Since these boxes have the base colours of blue and white, they are also called the “blue-and-white box” models. The line contained up to 70 models at one time, before being reduced later.

This series was discontinued in 1988, though some models were phased out earlier. After 1988, several F-Series models were incorporated into the 1-120 line up, others were discontinued altogether.
