While designing sets at LEGO, Plagborg designed several specialty elements that have been used extensively in the sets over the years:

  • The 1x2 flat “grille” tile (part 2412a/b)
  • The 1x2 profile brick (part 2877)
  • The 2x2 corner plate (part 2420)
  • The 2x2 corner brick (part 2357)

According to Plagborg, Godtfred Kirk Christiansen was against the design of the 1x2 grill tile because there were no studs on top, but it was eventually approved with support from Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen.
