Verity

Character

Something Missing?

Verity is a fictional lesbian fencing instructor who appears in the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day. She is seen briefly at the beginning of the film when she introduces Bond to primary antagonist Gustav Graves. Verity is played by the Italian-American singer and actress Madonna, who also sang the title song (the only time in the history of the franchise when the title theme performer has appeared in the film itself.)

Madonna specified that the character must be gay because she wanted to play the only woman in the movie who James Bond could not seduce.
