Wakefield Railway Modellers' Society

The Wakefield Railway Modellers' Society was founded in March 1958 to cater to those modelers interested in small scale model railways in the Wakefield area. The Society owns a spacious 2 story premises near the city center and organizes a yearly exhibition.

The Society has recently benefited from an Awards for All grant which is being used to develop new layouts, build up a historical archive, and provide an opportunity to learn new skills associated with railway modeling. Currently, the society has layouts under construction in N, HO, OO, On30, and O gauges.
