Walter Rohrl was a championship-winning veteran rally car driver in the 1970s and 80s. The German earned victories in the Monte Carlo Rally four times. All told, Rohrl earned 14 wins on the World Rally Championship series and 494 points.

Rohrl partnered with Jochen Berger to become the first German tandem in rally racing.
