Freddie for a Day Guitar Pick (Clone)

Charity guitar pick clone featuring Freddie Mercury (1946-1991), lead singer of the rock band Queen, who died of complications from AIDS.

Pin promotes the Freddie for a Day initiative, an HIV and AIDS fundraising campaign that encourages people to dress up as Mercury on his birthday, September 5. Hard Rock hosted Freddie events in 2018 at many locations worldwide.

Pin background is a dark red guitar pick with a thin white border. Right side of pin is a profile image of Mercury, facing right. From his final tour with Queen in 1986, he is wearing his iconic yellow jacket, white trousers with dark red vertical stripes, and white shoes with black diagonal stripes. Mercury is shown in one of his famous poses, lunging forward with knees bent, back arched, head thrown back, eyes closed. In his right hand is a black microphone. Hard Rock Hotel logo with location name is at top left of guitar pick, all in white. Below logo is a Mercury replica signature in white.

Back of pin says "Limited Edition."

Sold on a dark gray backing card with white stars at the top and a conical image of a light gray spotlight at center. At bottom of card is the name "Freddie" in thin yellow capital letters.
