The German branch of the American model kit manufacturer Revell was established by Lewis H. Glaser in 1956 in Bünde, Westphalia.
- In 1986 Revell merged with Monogram, becoming "Revell-Monogram".
- In 1994, Revell-Monogram was purchased by Hallmark Cards as part of its Binney and Smith division
- In 2006 the German subsidiary "Revell Plastics GmbH" became an independent legal entity no longer affiliated with the American company.
- In 2007, Revell-Monogram USA was purchased by Hobbico
- In 2012 Hobbico purchased the German Revell GmbH as well, bringing the two back together again under the same company umbrella.
- In 2018, after the Hobbico demise, the German company Quantum Capital Partners acquired Revell, selling a lot of the old tooling to Atlantis Models in the process.
