Karen Wheeler

Karen Wheeler is a fictional character featured in Netflix's Stranger Things. She is a main character in the first three seasons, and a supporting character in Stranger Things 4. Karen is portrayed by actress Cara Buono in all four seasons. 

Karen Wheeler (née unknown) is the mother of Nancy, Mike, and Holly Wheeler, and the wife of Ted. She is very protective of her children, and encourages them to do what makes them happy. Although her marriage to Ted is conflicted, Karen chooses to stay with him and her family after almost having an affair with Billy. In 1986, Karen becomes concerned for Mike and Nancy's safety after the majority of Hawkins becomes convinced that Eddie Munson has summoned the "devil," and tries to figure out what's really going on.
