NSU Fiat Balila

Made to Order. NSU in Heillbron gave up its own car production in the early thirties to concentrate on building Fiat vehicles for the German market. They were badged as NSU Fiat. In 1934, the coachwork company Buhne fitted a Balilla chassis with a two seat aerodynamic body based on a proposal by Paul Jaray. The original scheme showed the headlights faired into the front wings, but the prototype was built with the prominent headlights shown here. Little is known about who commissioned the car to be built or any statistics concerning it except for an unconfirmed top speed of 80 to 85 mph.
